SRM MCET Celebrates Its Second College Day with Enthusiasm and Pride
The Second College Day of SRM Madurai College of Engineering and Technology (SRM MCET) was celebrated with grandeur on May 3, 2025, in the college auditorium, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s journey of academic excellence.
The event was felicitated by distinguished members of the SRM Group management:
Dr. P. Ravi, Chairman of the SRM Group, Mrs. R. Padmapriya, Chairperson of SRM MCET, and Ms. R. Harini, Correspondent of SRM MCET and Dr. R. Venkatesh Babu, Director of Academics and Administration. Their words of encouragement and support added great value to the celebration and inspired the student community.
Dr. R. Velraj, Former Vice-Chancellor of Anna University, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered an inspiring address on the importance of developing knowledge and skills to meet the demands of the modern world.
Dr. S. Durairaj, Principal of SRM MCET, presented the Annual Report, highlighting the institution’s achievements, academic progress, and major events conducted over the academic year. The successful organization of the event was made possible through the efforts of Dr. S. Sampath, Vice Principal, and Mr. M. Manoharan, SRM Group Coordinator.
The event was efficiently coordinated by Dr. J. Jayaranjani, Head of the Department of Information Technology, and Dr. V. Gowri, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering.
A key highlight of the celebration was the presentation of academic merit medals and 100% attendance awards, aimed at recognizing and motivating outstanding student performance and commitment.
The Second College Day celebration reflected SRM MCET’s continued dedication to academic excellence, holistic student development, and institutional progress.
