Hands on Training in Concrete Mix Design using Excel

The Department of Civil Engineering, SRM MCET, through the Green Concrete Club, organized a Hands-on Training in Concrete Mix Design using Excel for III Year Civil students. The offline training introduced the importance of mix design, differences between nominal and design mix, and the role of IS codes in ensuring strength, durability, and economy. Students practiced an M25 concrete mix design using Excel, experiencing how automation reduces manual errors and improves accuracy. The session enhanced practical skills, bridging classroom knowledge with industry needs, and received positive student feedback.
