TECHXPLOSION'24

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SRM MCET, in
collaboration with the Computer Society of India, hosted the State-Level Technical
Event, TECHXPLOSION’24, on October 15, 2024. Held in memory of Dr. A.P.J.
Abdul Kalam, the event provided a platform for students to showcase their
innovation, leadership, and technical skills.

Inauguration and Keynote Speech:
The event opened at 9:30 a.m. with dignitaries lighting the lamp and a welcome
speech by Dr.C.Callins Christiyana. The Chief Guest, Mr. Suresh Packiam from
Cloudbees, presented a keynote on “Secure Coding Practices,” highlighting the
importance of security in software development using a 5W1H approach and stressing secure coding integration in the SDLC.

Technical Competitions:
A range of competitions took place, including Code Debugging, Paper Presentation,
Poster Presentation, Technical Quiz, Code War, and Technical Connections, with 212 participants from various colleges. Events commenced post-keynote, with lunch served at 12:30 p.m. Afternoon sessions continued with Paper Presentation, Code War, and Technical Connections.

Valedictory Ceremony:
The event concluded with a valedictory session at 3:00 p.m., where certificates and
shields were awarded to winners. The session ended with group photos and the
national anthem.
