Event Summary:
Engineer’s day competition organized by the Fine Arts Association was held on September 20, 2025, at the College Seminar Hall – 1 (First floor). Engineer’s day was celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a renowned Civil Engineer and Dewan of Mysore, with great respect and enthusiasm by the students of our college. The program was aimed at bringing the Engineering talents among the students in the form of various competitions. Recognizing this, the organizing team arranged a function in which competitions on short film / Documentary, photography / Drawing, Zero power challenge and Haiku on special themes related to Engineering were conducted.
HIGHLIGHTS:
The event commenced promptly at 3:00 PM with a warm and thoughtful Welcome Address by MOC team of Third year Civil students. They welcomed all teaching faculties and the students who attended the function. They presented the words of gratitude by explaining about Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya and the importance of celebration of Engineer’s day. Unlike traditional stage functions, this year’s celebration took a creative and digital form. The students prepared personalized video presentations for short films and documentary, in which they expressed their views on the special themes proposed by the organizers. Teams of students from MBA, Mechanical and IT departments participated in this competition. In photography and drawing competition students presented and explained their views. A team from cyber security students demonstrated their product on zero power challenge. Few teams participated on haiku and explained their short poem on various themes. E-certificates will be distributed to the winners and participants.
CONCLUSION:
The session wrapped up with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by MOC team at 3:55 PM, acknowledging the college management, organizing team and enthusiastic participants. The Engineer’s Day competition was conducted using student prepared videos for short film and documentary highlighted creativity of the students. The Principal, faculty members, and students expressed their satisfaction and joy over the success of the program.
