1st Induction Day Celebration
On September 6, 2023, SRM Madurai College for Engineering and Technology celebrated its First Year Induction Day with great enthusiasm, where students and parents had been welcomed by the Management, Principal, and faculties of SRM MCET. The objective of the programme was to make the parents and students aware of the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the Institute and ensuring parental participation in monitoring the performance and progress of the students.
The day was marked with the presence of the dignitaries, Mr.S.Raja, Actor and debut speaker, an Indian television personality popular for his speeches in Tamil-language talk shows (Pattimandram). Other noted presence included Dr. S. Ramachandran, Director of Academics, SRM Group, Mr.M. Manoharan, Group Coordinator, SRM Group, Dr. S. Durairaj, Principal, SRM MCET and Prof. Faizal Bathurutheen, Director of Admission.
The Induction Day ceremony started with the welcome address by Dr. S. Durairaj, Principal of SRM MCET. He emphasised the significance of using technology correctly to achieve in life. Dr. Ramachandran’s presidential address emphasized the institution’s commitment to the students’ success and the importance of proactively seeking out and honing the necessary skills and opportunities to excel in their chosen fields.
Chief Guest Mr. S. Raja began his speech to a resounding applause in the packed auditorium. He emphasized the importance of valuing education and the privilege of being able to attend college, not just for the academic knowledge they would gain, but also for the opportunities to explore their creativity and develop personally.
Following the chief guest talk, the principal proceeded to introduce the Heads of Department (HoDs) for each department.
SRM MCET is pleased to release the Bridge Course Study Material in the august presence of parents and students. The director of academics presented the material to the chief guest as a symbol of our commitment to providing the best educational resources. Our principal had the honour of presenting the first edition of the newsletter to our esteemed chief guest.
Mr. Manoharan, Group Coordinator, felicitated the gathering. Dr. S. Rajkumar, the Head of the Department of Science and Humanities, with sincerity and eloquence, he delivered a well-deserved and thoughtful vote of thanks.
