Chess Tournament

The 1st Tamil Nadu State-Level Children’s Chess Tournament is an annual  chess competition that brings together young chess enthusiasts from across  the state .

This prestigious event aims to promote the game of chess among  children, promote sportsmanship, and provide a platform for budding chess  prodigies to showcase their skill that was jointly organized by SRM MADURAI COLLEGE FOR ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, POTTAPALAYAM, and  Global Sports Foundation (Affiliated to Madurai District Chess Circle).

This  tournament has become a hallmark of excellence in Children chess with a  240 numbers of participants (both boys and girls) and accompanied with  their parents and Siblings. 

The tournament is divided into four category categories, such as Under-9,  Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19, depending on the number of  participants for boys and girls separately.

The tournament Chief guest Mr. M.Kannan, Joint Secretary of Tamilnadu State Chess Association has  distributed the trophies and certificates to the winners. A total of 80  Trophies, and 240 certificates awarded to the top performers and  participators in each category.
