Event Summary:
The ISTE Sponsored TECH DAY’26, organized by the ISTE Student Chapter of SRM MCET, was successfully conducted on 28.02.2026 at our campus, on the eve of National Science Day. This Program was organized under the guidance of Dr. S. Durairaj, Principal, SRM MCET
The inaugural session of ISTE Sponsored TECH DAY’26 was held at the SRM MCET Auditorium. The event commenced with Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and student coordinators. Dr. R. Ashok Kumar, ISTE Faculty Advisor, delivered the Welcome Address and greeted the gathering. The Chief Guest Ms. G. Rubavathy, Deputy Manager – HR, Sundram Fasteners Limited was honoured by HoD/EEE and HoD/CSE during the ceremony. The Inaugural Address by the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of innovation, technical knowledge, and industry interaction in shaping future engineers.
As part of TECH DAY’26, a total of 281 participants from various Engineering Colleges across Tamil Nadu registered and 272 students actively participated in three major technical events: Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, and Ideathon. The Session Judges are

The Paper Presentation and Poster Presentation events were conducted at the Auditorium, while the Ideathon was organized at the College Library facility, providing a dynamic platform for creative ideation and innovative solution development.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, insightful technical discussions, and innovative ideas from students across institutions. It served as a vibrant platform to promote research aptitude, analytical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration among budding engineers.
TECH DAY’26 was a grand success, reflecting the institution’s continued commitment to fostering technical excellence and innovation.
