Event Summary:
The AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) sponsored six-day online Faculty Development Program (FDP) was conducted from 27th January 2025 to 1st February 2025. The objective of this FDP was to provide an in-depth understanding of the latest advancements in electric vehicles (EVs) and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, focusing on sustainability and optimization. The program featured 13 sessions delivered by two international resource persons, five eminent academicians from reputed institutions in India, and six industry experts. A total of 127 participants registered for the event, and 117 successfully received FDP completion certificates upon fulfilling the necessary requirements.
The FDP was inaugurated on 27th January 2025 at 6:00 PM by Dr. Sheik Mohammed Sulthan, Deputy Director, Centre for Transport Research, Universiti Teknologi Brunei, Brunei. He highlighted the significance of sustainable transportation solutions and the role of academia in driving innovation in EV and hydrogen fuel cell technology.
The program covered various crucial topics, including the global market for battery and fuel-powered EVs, smart cyber-physical multi-source energy systems, EV performance optimization, sustainability of EV batteries, electrical drive technologies, IoT-based monitoring, battery management systems, integration of fuel cells with renewable energy, EV charging infrastructure, high-voltage EV safety, AI-driven automation in smart vehicles, and machine learning applications in EVs.
On the final day, an online test and feedback session were conducted, followed by the valedictory address by Dr. Gopinath Selvaraj, Practice Head, UST Global, Bangaluru. He summarized key takeaways from the FDP and acknowledged the contributions of the resource persons and participants.
