Slides of significance – Mathematical applications in daily life

“The Aryabhatta Math Club of SRM Madurai College for Engineering and Technology organized an insightful and enriching event titled “”Slides of Significance – Mathematical Applications in Daily Life”” on 12th April 2025, held at EEE class room. The event focused on the practical relevance of mathematics in everyday life, encouraging students to explore and present their understanding through individual PowerPoint presentations. Topics included Calculus, Numerical Methods, Matrices, and Statistics, with each student allowed a maximum of 10 slides for their presentation. The session ran successfully from 2:00 p.m. to 3:50 p.m., engaging many enthusiastic participants from various departments.

During the event, the Vice Principal, Dr. S. Sambath, honored and appreciated the active involvement of students in past academic activities also distributed prizes to students who participated in the “Math Talenzia” event, held from 10th to 13th December 2024, recognizing their enthusiasm and talent in mathematics. In addition, certificates were distributed to students who presented papers at the National Conference organized by the Mathematics Department of SRM Valliammai Engineering College on 21st December 2024. It was noteworthy that first-year students also contributed actively by presenting papers on the given mathematical topics and showcasing their talents.”
