Event Summary:
The Workshop on Rendering and Visualization in SketchUp was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering and StructA Association at SRM MCET.
Mr. N. Madasamy, Detailing Engineer at Aarbee Structures Pvt. Ltd., served as the resource person, providing insights into 3D modeling and rendering using SketchUp. A total of 46 students (16 from SRM MCET and 30 external participants) from Tamil Nadu Government Polytechnic (Melur), AAA College of Engineering, Latha Madhavan Engineering College, Francis Xavier Engineering College, and CARE College of Engineering attended.
The session provided hands-on experience in SketchUp software, enhancing students’ technical skills and industry readiness. The event was highly interactive and beneficial for budding civil engineers. The workshop on Rendering and Visualization in SketchUp received highly positive feedback from participants. They appreciated the practical approach and hands-on training provided by the trainer, which helped them understand 3D modeling, and rendering techniques effectively.
