Outcome-Based Education (OBE) is a student-centric teaching and learning methodology in which the course delivery, assessment are planned to achieve stated objectives and outcomes.
It focuses on measuring student performance i.e. outcomes at different levels. The FDP is planned to give awareness on OBE to the teaching community and how the implementation of OBE in educational institutions helps to attain accreditation.
The learning taxonomy, which is the backbone of OBE, has been delivered to the participants before sharing the curriculum design, pedagogical principles for effective teaching and learning, and assessment.
The sessions such as Outcome Based curriculum, Outcome Based Pedagogical Principles for Effective Teaching, and Outcome Based Assessment are delivered to the participants.
Designing a curriculum that aligns with OBE concepts entails meticulous planning, strategic evaluation methods, and non-stop development to make sure that instructional dreams are correctly met. Pedagogical principles focus on utilizing active learning strategies to achieve outcomes.
Outcomes-based assessments are a type of evaluation or measurement approach used in various educational and professional settings to assess a person’s knowledge, skills, or competencies based on specific predefined outcomes or objectives.
