Lean Construction

Er. S Muneeswaran, Senior Project Manager at AIIMS project, Madurai lectured on the lean construction techniques in practice. By comparing the standard construction practices with the Japanese method of lean construction practices, he brought out advantages and need for adapting lean construction practices. He stressed upon the fact that deployment of lean construction practices would not only reduce the cost, wastage and human resources, but also provide room for development or adaption of more appropriate decisions at any point in the mid-phase of the project. He encouraged students to adapt the lean construction practices in the future for carrying out construction projects.
