Dr. N. Bharathiraja, an Associate Professor at Chitkara University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Chitkara University, recently delivered an expert talk on “Exploring Research Gaps in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Industry 5.0: Opportunities and Challenges.” He emphasized that Industry 5.0 aims to create a harmonious collaboration between humans and machines, leveraging advanced technologies to enhance productivity and innovation.
Dr. Bharathiraja highlighted several research gaps within AI and ML that are crucial for the realization of Industry 5.0. Key among these is the need for improved human-machine interaction models that ensure seamless and intuitive collaboration. He also underscored the importance of developing robust AI systems capable of ethical decision-making and addressing bias. Another significant gap identified is the integration of AI with IoT and other emerging technologies to create smart, adaptive industrial environments.
