Event Summary:
SRM Madurai College for Engineering and Technology partnered with Meenakshi Mission Hospital to organize a Free Health Care Programme. The event, held from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the college auditorium. The programme is started with registration. There were 125 beneficiaries in attendance.
The Free Health Care Programme was to provide medical awareness and basic health check-ups for faculty members, non teaching staff and the local community. Representatives from Meenakshi Mission Hospital delivered insightful talks on various health issues and provided consultation.
The major services offered included:
1)General health check-ups
2)ECG screening and consultations
3)Blood pressure and diabetes screening
4)Eye examinations
5)Skin disease examinations
6)Awareness on preventive measures for lifestyle diseases.
The principal, the vice principal and Mr. Manoharan, the group coordinator came to the camp and administered tests. The program helped over 125 people, who received free health exams, basic treatments, and medical advice. The Free Health Care Programme was a great success and was well received, with positive feedback from attendees.
