Dr. C. Prithiviraj is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at SRM Madurai College for Engineering and Technology, Sivagangai District. He received his B.E. degree in Civil Engineering from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, India, in 2012. He completed his M.E. degree in Structural Engineering from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, India, in 2015. He earned his Ph.D. in Civil and Structural Engineering, titled “Behaviour of GFRP Reinforced RC Beams Using Alccofine Based Self-Compacting Concrete” from Annamalai University in 2022. He has over 8 years of teaching and research experience, holding positions such as Associate Professor & Head at Jei Mathaajee College of Engineering, Kanchipuram, and Assistant Professor at K.S.K College of Engineering and Technology, Kumbakonam. He has attended 10 national and 15 international conferences and published 14 research papers in international journals, 4 of which are indexed in SCI, 10 in Scopus, Web of Science and UGC CARE journals. He has actively participated in over 20 workshops, FDPs, and short-term courses organized by reputed institutions, focusing on advanced concrete technology, sustainability, and construction software. His notable achievements include guiding 12 undergraduate dissertation projects, with several students continuing their research in sustainable construction materials. He has published a book titled Environmental Science and Sustainability and contributed to multiple book chapters. He has been a reviewer for Trends in Sciences (Scopus-indexed) and other journals. As a coordinator, he has organized seminars, workshops, and MoU signings between institutions and industry, enhancing knowledge-sharing platforms. He is an active member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Building Technocrats Association (BTA), and the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). His recent project on Low-Water Self-Curing Concrete for Tamil Nadu’s Water-Scarce Regions aligns with his passion for addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainability in construction. His field of interest includes Self-Compacting Concrete, Geopolymer Concrete, Soil Mechanics, and utilizing industrial by-products to minimize the use of natural resources in construction. He actively collaborates with industries to advance the practical implementation of sustainable concrete solutions.
