Extension Activity – Awareness Program on Engineering Education

The Awareness Program on Engineering Education was conducted on 3rd January 2025 at the Government Higher Secondary School, Silaiman, Puliyankulam, Madurai-625201. The event was organised for the benifit of the 12th Standard Students to enhance their career opportunities in the field of Engineering and particulary Mechanical Engineering. Dr. N.J.Vignesh & Dr. B.Eanest Jebasingh gave a detailed information on the various career opportunities available for Engineering Graduates and also focussed on the benefits of taking Mechanical Engineering. After elaborating on the various opportunities, the information about various SRM Institutes was shared and finally elaborated about SRM Madurai College for Engineering and Technology. The various facilities like Library, Laboratories, Transport, Sports and Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular activities available in the Institue was discussed. Furthermore, benefits to the Government School Students like First Graduate and 7.5 % Quota was discussed in detail. A short video presentation on SRM Madurai College for Engineering and Technology was played at the end. Finally, we thanked our Management, the Principal, Vice-Principal, Group Co-Ordinator, Head of the Department, Head Master of the School, School Teachers, Technicians, School Students for successfully organising this course in a fruitful manner. We further as per the direction of our Management had given Geometry Boxes for Top 10 Students of 12th Standard and also provided a Ball Point Pen for all the participated Students.
