Extension Activity

The program was conducted via online mode on January 8, 2025. Students from 9 different schools attended the event. The session began with an introduction to the program, providing an overview of Science and Engineering, followed by a discussion on various Engineering branches, including core and circuit disciplines, their relevance in daily life, and their importance in the professional world. Mechanical Engineering was highlighted, emphasizing its diverse applications, multiple-field impact, and career opportunities available after completing the degree, along with distinctions between a diploma and a degree and the significance of an Engineering qualification in the professional sphere. Job prospects in private and public sectors, including eligibility criteria, opportunities abroad, and entrepreneurship pathways, were also discussed. Special government schemes like the 7.5% quota and the first graduate scheme, available at our college, were explained. Students were guided on choosing an Engineering college with advice on key features to consider, supported by a video showcasing our college’s laboratory facilities, activities, transportation, and hostel accommodations, concluding the session effectively.
