SETTING GOALS and MANAGING TIME

SRMMCET in association with ICT Academy organized a Three Day FDP on Setting Goals and Managing Time from 30.05.24 to 01.06.24. Twenty five participants from various institutions attended. Mr. K. Nirmal Kumar, Senior Manager, Training & Development, ICT Academy was the resource person for the FDP. He explained the concepts with several activities. He handled three topics such as Set Specific and accurate goals (First day), Focus on the work in various aspects (Second day) and Time management (Third day) with the following games.

• Pen ball game (Team building game)

Given a ball and pens to each team to balance the ball by touching with the tip of the pens and move the ball with the pens from one end to another end without falling.

• Ball in the basket (Value of the goal)

3 buckets and 2 balls were given and score value of first, second and third buckets are 25, 50 and 100 respectively. Members should throw the ball in to the bucket. Only 3 attempts allowed for each member in the team.

• Team building stick challenges (Face the challenges)

25 sticks, cello tape, bubble gum and thread were given to each team to build strong joints

• Blind drawing (Team coordination)

Given a picture for each team and any two members of the team were called. One has to draw by left hand with closed eyes and other should say instructions for the same.

• Building blocks (Time management)

Plenty of cubes were given to each team to build a stable and taller wall with the closed eyes within limited time period.

Participants appreciated the trainer for his activity oriented presentation. They gave excellent feedback about the theme of FDP, Content delivery and Hospitality & arrangements. Participants also requested to conduct similar kind of FDPs in future.
