The institution flaunts a sea of book collections in various disciplines (with over 21,000 volumes) comprising books, monographs, and lots of unique digital contents, including a portfolio of distinguished special collections.
Reputed journals of National and International acclaim – current and back volumes are available in print and digital form. The library also provides access to hundreds of scholarly databases with the most comprehensive, specialized and up-to-date information on various technical topics.
Digital Facilities
An audio-visual centre with an extensive collection of educational videos has also been set up. Archives of digital and audio-visual content are maintained in CDs which are available on request.
The library is currently involved in the process of digitizing unique materials and collections to make them available to users.
It also offers computer workstations for online research and team projects. With thousands of visits and hundreds of unique visitors annually, the library is one of the busiest places on campus.
One of the nation’s major resource sharing library network from which 800+ digital contents can be downloaded and books can be borrowed to quench the knowledge thirst of students.
The library is well-served by experienced librarians whose active role facilitates faculty and students to use the library’s resources at best. In addition to issuing books, it extends support to students and researchers to identify appropriate materials in the library’s holdings via online sources and other online libraries around the world.
The central library functions with the vision of providing excellent resources and innovative services to encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity and to facilitate lifelong learning and research among our students and staff. To make this possible, its mission is to support the academic and research needs of the students and staff and improve the quality of technical education by bringing it on a par with national and international benchmarks by providing access to multitudinous research materials in print and digital formats.
